Courtney Toomath-West is a partner with Walker West Longo LLP. Courtney received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa and her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from McGill University. Courtney is a member of the New York Bar and the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Courtney provides counsel on a wide range of property tax issues including, assessment appeals, municipal applications, and exemptions. She has acted for large industrial and manufacturing businesses as well as for office and retail properties. Courtney has managed property tax issues for REITs and hotel portfolios and provided counsel to various non-profit and quasi-governmental institutions.

Courtney has appeared as lead counsel before the Assessment Review Board, Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She also has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including mediation and arbitration.

Courtney is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, International Property Tax Institute, and the Canadian Property Tax Association.
