About Jamie Walker is an Associate with Walker West Longo LLP. He received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015. Prior to attending law school, Jamie received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Political Science from Queen’s University in Kingston, graduating with distinction.
Jamie’s practice is focused on assessment appeals before the Assessment Review Board and Ontario Courts, property tax exemption applications, municipal tax applications, and landlord/tenant advice. He has experience assisting large and small clients with assessment appeals involving industrial, commercial, residential, and tax-exempt properties. He also keeps clients up-to-date on changes with respect to legislation and regulations affecting property taxation and tax classification.
For Jamie, the most rewarding aspect of his work is working collaboratively with a team to achieve creative solutions ensuring clients obtain the best possible outcomes.
Prior to joining Walker West Longo LLP, Jamie was an Associate in the Real Estate Group of a leading national law firm.
Jamie is a member of the Canadian Property Tax Association and Institute of Municipal Assessors. He has also written on a variety of topics relating to property tax assessment and is a frequent speaker.
